Help? How do I get a speed camera installed?

Question: The community of Brymbo & Tanyfron within the county of Wrexham are concerned about the excessive speeds on the former Brymbo link road now known as Heritage Way. I have identified points A, B, C, D, E, which between each point excessive speeds between each junction occurs and so it would take a number of static cameras to enforce safer driving. The Specs system seems perfect for monitoring the entire stretch of road providing a fair and practical solution between points and encouraging safer road usage for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians alike.

Would it be possible for someone to call me to assist with the logistics and a price please?

Answer: SpeedCamerasUK.com is not connected with any UK Police or other local authority. We don't run, install or operate any speed camera - we just list where they are and information about them.

I would recommend you put your question/concern to the Police force in North Wales.

What we can say is VECTOR average speed camera systems are increasing in popularity across the UK, due to their lower installation cost as opposed to SPECS camera. The company behind SPECS also manufactures VECTOR cameras.

Answer: You need to lobby your local council/MP about installing a speed camera at this location.

New digital Gatso speed cameraQuestion: I live near part of the South Circular in London where dangerous speeding is the norm and noise and air pollution a problem.

Could you advise on the best way to persuade the relevant authorities to install cameras? I assume Transport for London and are responsible, but are there are any compelling arguments I can put to them? Is there a magic word?

Also, are there any simple observational tests I can do to bolster my case?

Answer: I would recommend that you contact your local council, councilor and/or MP to make your suggestion heard.

Subsequent reply: Sorry, I thought you were the manufacturers! Thanks for the advice. I'll get onto my local council about it.

Question: Can I request from this website a speed camera be placed on London Road in Holyhead on a regular basis between the Port and Tesco roundabout? I am a resident on this road which also has a 7.5 weight restriction on it but we are constantly plagued by speeding cars and lorries day and night. There are no MPH signs on the road but the council say that because they are around the corner we have no need for them because drivers should be aware of the speed of the road they are on which brings the question then if that is the case then why the need of you guys? Councils gone barmy? If I cannot request from this site can you point me in the right direction please?
