Talex Speed Camera Detectors
We have had NO INVOLVEMENT with Talex / Embedded Technologies / Adam Blair (Limited) for over 10 years. Online retail website ActiveGPS does however still have limited stock of Talex and Talex Lite accessories for the pre 2008 Talex speed camera detectors, namely the Talex and Talex Lite.

Talex speed camera detector range
Talex GPS range of speed camera detectors included the popular Talex and Talex Lite models.
When mounted on a vehicle dashboard the Talex speed camera detector announces the legal speed limit when approaching speed cameras, accident blackspots, schools and congestion charging zones with a warning typically from 500yards.
The Talex Lite retailed for around £90 and at the time (the late noughties) the UK's lowest-priced, voice-based GPS speed camera alert system. Talex Lite retains the core features of the original Talex system, but offers users the benefits of a safety camera alert system without the additional costs of extra features.
Both the Talex and Talex Lite have been designed as plug and play devices with an adhesive magnetic base allowing for easy installation.
Talex is completely legal and warns of speed limits and accident black spots and does not give annoying false alerts. Talex also includes 2 year manufacturers warranty. In 2007, the 1 year subscription to the update for the Talex unit was £29.00. The 3 year subscription charge was £59.00.
Once again, we have had NO INVOLVEMENT with Talex for at least six+ years and we are unable to assist with any questions relating to Talex / talex.co.uk.
Talex
Whilst in motion, the Talex unit displays your current speed. As your vehicle approaches a speed camera, the Talex system typically warns the driver of an approaching speed camera by giving an initial alert at 500 yards, which details the speed limit via a voice announcement and the LED display. If at 200 yards the vehicle is over speed, the unit will warn the driver to slow down. An easy download facility from a PC enables users to update the Talex system with the latest databases. Talex Lite
Simple, safe and secure, Talex Lite retains the core features of the original Talex system, but offers users the benefits of a safety camera alert system without the additional costs of extra features. But when it comes to protection against unnecessary fines, penalty points and helping drivers to anticipate road dangers, this is no lightweight.
While most low cost systems use simple audible and visual warnings, Talex Lite also uses a voice alert to warn the driver 500yards before a camera location and displays the speed limit for the road. If the driver is exceeding the limit with 200 yards to go then the unit will advise the driver to slow down. Read more.
