Oxfordshire Speed Camera Location

GatsoNearest Town/village: Tiddington
Road Name: A418 - Oxford Road
Direction of Camera: Eastbound towards Thame
Speed Limit: 30mph

Speed Camera Details: Entrance to Tiddington village is clearly marked '30mph' but there are no 'speed camera' warning signs and no indication of an accident blackspot. The road itself winds gently downhill so that it is almost inevitable that drivers will pick up speed. After about 0.3 mile there is a turning on the right, followed by a 'UK' petrol station forecourt and bus stop on the left, the Fox public house forecourt on the left, a turning on the left and another turning on the right. All these potential hazards will be readily visible and will warrant the driver's concentration so that he fails to see the Gatso camera, cunningly concealed behind a tree opposite the petrol station forecourt. There is no corresponding camera on the westbound side of the road.
