Beltronics PRO RX65i explained

The Beltronics PRO RX65i is a leading radar and laser detector. In fact Beltronics say the PRO RX65E will detect 10 times the performance of any detector on the market. The Beltronics RX65 will warn you of radar signals within 500 milliseconds giving you time to make sure you are driving within the speed limit. Other radar and laser detectors will not be as quick at alerting you to speed cameras. It has also been optimally programmed for use in European countries and Ireland. What's more is this Beltronics speed camera detector scans for and eliminates false alerts, reducing the number of times you detect shop doorway sensors, burglar alarms, etc.

What's the difference between the PRO RX65E and PRO RX65i?

There is no difference - the Beltronics PRO RX65E and PRO RX65i are one and the same model. The correct Beltronics designation is the PRO RX65i (upper or lower case 'i'). Some retailers in the UK may refer to PRO RX65 as the 'E' model - PRO RX65E. This designation has been given as the RX65E is the European model which differs from the USA model.

How does the UK/European PRO RX65 differ from the USA model?

The UK/European PRO RX65 has blue LED's, while the American PRO RX65 has red LED's. In addition the USA model is not optimised specifically for the frequencies/bands used in Europe.

BEWARE of retailers selling the USA version of the RX65 in the United Kingdom and Europe. The device will not detect all bands in use in the UK/Europe. We will only sell goods destined for the UK and European market. We will only purchase through the official manufacturers distribution network.

Spoken Voice Alerts

Voice alerts are provided for all speed camera warnings. You will also get a visual warning in the form of a light indicators that shows how strong the radar/laser signal is. For night travel you can dim the brightness of the display. There is also an optional setting for monitoring multiple threats. There are patented features for muting the alerts. On the SmartPlug power cord you can Mute and AutoMute the alerts provided from this speed camera detector.

The plug and play Beltronics PRO RX65E can be quickly mounted on a windscreen and conveniently removed when you are parked. The dimensions of the unit are 3.2 x 7.0 x 12.1 cm. Included in the box is an owner's manual, quick-release windshield mount, coiled SmartPlug, quick reference card and convenient travel case.

Speed camera alerts will be provided for 360 degrees around your vehicle. The speed camera system will continually monitor for laser and radar guns. Beltronics Pro RX65i Questions and Answers

Question: I have a Beltronics model 915-r fitted in the glove box of my car with suction mounted receivers in the front and rear screens - is this model still valid or do I need an updated version? If so what would you recommend for same hidden installation.

Answer: We no longer stock the Beltronics radar and laser speed camera detector.

I would personally recommend a GPS based speed cameras with internal GPS updateable database. Increasing new speed cameras being introduced on UK roads are undectable via a conventional radar and laser detector. For more information please see Speed Camera Detector Buyer's Guide.

Question: What is your opinion of the Beltronics RX65 Radar Detector?

Answer: The Beltronics RX65i is a very good radar and laser detector for detecting fixed Gatso cameras and mobile speed camera sites. However, it will NOT alert to the majority of fixed speed cameras in use in the UK.

Truvelo, SPECS, VECTOR, HADECS 3 and Truvelo D-Cam are all speed camera systems that either use loops embedded in the roads' surface, or simply digital time stamp images between point A and point B in the road to trigger/record the speed of your vehicle. These cameras will therefore, not be alerted to via the Beltronics RX65 as there is simply nothing for the Beltronics to detect.

For alerts to fixed speed cameras such as these, you will need to buy a detector with a GPS database. Some devices such as the Snooper 4ZERO Elite BT also include radar and/or laser detection in addition to alerts via the GPS database.
